About

Est 2020

Brandon Rouckus started building and restoring cars at a young age under the guidance of  his father Mike Rouckus, owner of Motor Car Mall. In the mid-2000's Brandon moved to Southern California where he gained valuable experience working at various rod and custom shops in the Hollywood area. After coming home to New Mexico, Brandon settled into Bosque Farms and began building cars as a hobby out of a pole barn in his back yard. After a year's time customer demand began to increase, and a decision was made to officially start a new business. Mixing "Bosque Farms" and "Hollywood," the name "Bosquewood" was chosen.

What we build.

Just about all things custom are on the table. An important fact to know is that WE DON'T DO ESTIMATES. The nature of restoration, fabrication and custom vehicle building yields many unforeseen obstacles and issues that are impossible to predict from the onset. That being said, as long as it goes fast, looks cool, or has a good story, we can build it!

Where To Find Us

We are mainly operating out of the Motor Car Mall building at 3548 NM-47 but do have other locations in Valencia County depending on the nature of work required. We also offer mobile work if the conditions are right. Feel free to call to set up a consultation!

CURRENT BUILDS

1959 Chevy Impala Convertible

Having been long time customer of Mike's, Mr. Romero has returned with a beautiful 59 Impala from Arizona. Complete with a "Turbo Thrust" 348, this one was already dipped for corrosion and has NOS quarter replacements! The plan here is to complete all the bodywork, separate the body from the chassis, paint and then begin assembling the entire car.

1955 Ford Ranch Wagon

Brian purchased this awesome wagon in Florida and has requested drivability improvements. The wagon is a prime example of a "Day-Two" hot rod. Outfitted with vintage interior and a surf woody paint scheme, it already looks super cool rollin down the highway! Our local 5000+ft elevation here in New Mexico however has robbed this supercharged Ford Y-block of its potential, but that's about to change! Coming upgrades include: 1-wire alternator conversion, MSD high-output ignition system and full front disc brake conversion all courtesy of our local speed parts vendor Yearwood Performance!

1987 GMC High Sierra

The ever-growing popularity of the GM "Squarebody" persists because frankly, they just don't make trucks as cool as they used to! Our customer Clark decided one was not enough, so he opted to purchase "Big Red" out of Nevada and brought her in for some TLC. Upgrades include: complete tune up, dual flowmaster exhaust system with Hedman headers, anti-roll bar, KC lights, TMI interior kit with custom bucket seat conversion and auto-retractable running boards. The Fall Guy is jealous of this one!

1985 Chevy K-10 LS-Swap

Clark had planned on building the truck as a gift for his wife, who unfortunately passed from covid. He has  now chosen to dedicate it to her in unique form. "She just loved elephants" he told us. In partner with a local designer, we were able to select a unique image that will serve as a running theme throughout the truck. LS-swapped with a healthy 5.3 from Jasper Engines, this one got a complete Holley Terminator stand-alone fuel management system, autometer digital gauges, bucket racing seat conversion, superlift 4" lift kit, 3" mandrel-bent flowmaster dual exhaust, custom A/C system, custom Fuel wheels with 35" BFG's, 4L60E trans and NP405 transfer case... A LOT of work done but still a ways to go! Paint and body work is next for this ground-up build!

1985 GMC Sierra C-20

Every old truck has a story and this one is very neat. Savella's GMC is the definitive "Farmtruck." This old squarebody spent its life hauling trailers full of cattle with the bed stacked high above the cab full of alfalfa bails at a local farm on the Isleta Indian Reservation. The owner came to us and said, "Mom used to love driving that old truck and it's been sitting in the yard for 20+ years since she passed... Can we get please it running again?" That we did! Luckily we had a used 2-piece rear main 350 on hand and after replacing just about everything in the drivetrain, braking and clutch systems, we added headers, dual exhaust and replaced all hoses and fluids. With a completely new fuel system, she fired right up and is ready for work on the farm once again!

1983 El Camino

This one really should be called the "El Camaro"... Super cool car that our customer brought in for oil leak repairs. Ultimately based on the nature and age of the Camaro-swapped 5.7L LTI powerplant, we opted to replace the existing engine for a reman Jasper complete with a 3year/100K mile warranty. Not to mention an MSD ignition upgrade, headers and dual exhaust added also!

PAST BUILDS

1987 Ford Mustang

Foxbody! Jonah brought us this super clean 87 with a slipping transmission, broken door handles and a desire to get it back in action. Door handle replacement was a cinch, AND THEN a nice reman Jasper AOD trans and new ATI harmonic balancer got the Mustang ready for more burnouts!

1969 VW BEETLE

"SLUG BUG!" Richard's Beetle is quite unique in that the engine is not only located up front, but also because it's a healthy SBC 350! We were tasked with fixing a few odds and ends on this neat DIY build and can't wait to see it hustle on down the road in true style!

1969 Plymouth Barracuda

Mel purchased this car here in New Mexico back in 1987 and has slowly been updating it. A stroked big block now sits where the slant six used to, his interior is redone but due to running issues, we recommended replacing the carburetor. A new Edelbrock 750 will now supply the fuel mixture. He is selling the car and potential buyers would be please to learn that it has ORIGINAL PAINT, LITTLE TO NO BODY DAMAGE AND NO RUST!!!

1967 C10

Joe was having issues with battery voltage while running his aftermarket A/C system. With a little bracket fabrication in order to swap the existing alternator for a 100amp internally-regulated one, the truck is now charging comfortably between 13.4V-13.7V with the A/C and radio on at idle!

1972 Plymouth Satellite

This customer acquired the car from a storage locker bid and decided to restore it for his wife. We talked him into swapping the existing 318/904 drivetrain for a much healthier 440/727. Partnering with Motor Car Mall and Dynamo's Dustless Blasting, the car has had both quarter panels replaced, all body work done and has been blasted/undercoated. At the owner's request we installed a Holley Sniper fuel injection system, full QA1 suspension kit with disc brake conversions and a sure-grip 8.75 rear end. It's gonna be a screamer!
