“Making your car better is a never-ending battle, but something about speed reveals all of the hard work.”
Brandon Rouckus started building and restoring cars at a young age under the guidance of his father Mike Rouckus, owner of Motor Car Mall. In the mid-2000's Brandon moved to Southern California where he gained valuable experience working at various rod and custom shops in the Hollywood area. After coming home to New Mexico, Brandon settled into Bosque Farms and began building cars as a hobby out of a pole barn in his back yard. After a year's time customer demand began to increase, and a decision was made to officially start a new business. Mixing "Bosque Farms" and "Hollywood," the name "Bosquewood" was chosen.
Just about all things custom are on the table. An important fact to know is that WE DON'T DO ESTIMATES. The nature of restoration, fabrication and custom vehicle building yields many unforeseen obstacles and issues that are impossible to predict from the onset. That being said, as long as it goes fast, looks cool, or has a good story, we can build it!
We are actively searching for a new location to keep up with customer demand. We are currently building out of Bosque Farms and also doing mobile work if the conditions are right. Feel free to call to set up a consultation!
This year we will have a new date and a new location! Having been long time customer of Mike's, Mr. Romero has returned with a beautiful 59 Impala from Arizona. Complete with a "Turbo Thrust" 348, this one was already dipped for corrosion and has NOS quarter replacements! The plan here is to complete all the bodywork, separate the body from the chassis, paint and then begin assembling the entire car.
"SLUG BUG!" Richard's Beetle is quite unique in that the engine is not only located up front, but also because it's a healthy SBC 350! We were tasked with fixing a few odds and ends on this neat DIY build and can't wait to see it hustle on down the road in true style!
Mr. Gifford wanted more torque from this sweet original 1993 4X4 Silverado in order to tow his boat to Lake Navajo. Not only will we cure the persistent overheating issue by rebuilding the stock TBI 350 and overhauling the cooling system, but we will also help him gain the extra torque he needs by boring and stroking the engine to a healthier 383 cubic inches!
This customer had planned on building the truck as a gift for his wife, who unfortunately passed from covid. The owner has now chosen to dedicate it to her in unique form. "She just loved elephants" the owner stated. In partner with a local designer, we were able to select a unique image that will serve as a running theme throughout the truck.
Mel purchased this car here in New Mexico back in 1987 and has slowly been updating it. A stroked big block now sits where the slant six used to, his interior is redone but due to running issues, we recommended replacing the carburetor. A new Edelbrock 750 will now supply the fuel mixture. He is selling the car and potential buyers would be please to learn that it has ORIGINAL PAINT, LITTLE TO NO BODY DAMAGE AND NO RUST!!!
Joe was having issues with battery voltage while running his aftermarket A/C system. With a little bracket fabrication in order to swap the existing alternator for a 100amp internally-regulated one, the truck is now charging comfortably between 13.4V-13.7V with the A/C and radio on at idle!
This customer acquired the car from a storage locker bid and decided to restore it for his wife. We talked him into swapping the existing 318/904 drivetrain for a much healthier 440/727. Partnering with Motor Car Mall and Dynamo's Dustless Blasting, the car has had both quarter panels replaced, all body work done and has been blasted/undercoated. At the owner's request we installed a Holley Sniper fuel injection system, full QA1 suspension kit with disc brake conversions and a sure-grip 8.75 rear end. It's gonna be a screamer!
Just because the engine is in the trunk, doesn't mean we can't work on it! Mr. Groman has aloud us to tackle rebuilding all four of the carburetors on this sweet mid-engine ride.
The owner of this car is actually an accomplished DIY builder and has the car about 65% complete. Bosquewood is tasked with installing the custom wiring harness to integrate with his SBC383 and airbag suspension combo. A high-end stereo system makes things more challenging but not anything we can't tackle!
Mr. Nelson who also owns the 66' wagon couldn't pass up the deal on this original BB 383 car. He hasn't been able to drive it yet as the brakes are worn out and leaking fluid into the drums. We are currently working with Six Pack Performance in Albuquerque to get this beast back on the road!
